Participants at the Floodplain Management Association Annual Conference & Arid Regions Symposium will learn how to better identify and manage the variables that are within their control by focusing on teamwork, communication skills, and developing a clear understanding of their roles in complex policy and political environments. As well as by encouraging local, state and federal agencies to take actions that advance effective floodplain management. The FMA Annual Conference and Arid Regions Symposium is an important opportunity to bring together stakeholders to engage in a new dialogue for developing recommendations to policy makers and the regulatory community in the face of changing federal and state regulations affecting floodplains.
