Kirby Consulting Group Helps Engineering and Public Service Professionals Expand Their Capacity for Communication with Three-Day WorkshopWednesday, May 26, 2010 Next "Let's Talk Progress" workshop to be held July 27 – 29.May 26, 2010, Davis, CA—Kirby Consulting Group, Inc., a professional development coaching and consulting firm, recently held a successful three-day communication workshop at the Westin Verasa Hotel in downtown Napa. The event, which took place May 11 – 13, helped seven professionals from organizations throughout California expand their capacity for communication. They learned to assess and improve their communication skills and explored Kirby Consulting Group's unique "Dynamic Contact" model. "Our approach to communication emphasizes self-awareness and applies practices to build toward self-mastery," explained company principal, Ken Kirby, Ph. D. "We coach our workshop attendees to develop their core competencies and experiment with new communication techniques through a variety of exercises. They'll return to their organizations with a greater capacity to innovate and solve problems, which will help their entire teams become more productive." Participants said that they found the experience very helpful and planned to recommend future workshops to other members of their organizations. The event will be led by three certified professional coaches, including Dr. Kirby.
